“The project explores the idea of utilizing mixed-use buildings as a healthy alternative for urban regeneration, owing to their capacity for densification and accommodating various land uses. In Santiago, Chile, issues of excessive horizontal growth and the increasing demand for housing and amenities are prominent challenges.

Consequently, the decision is made to situate the project in a deteriorated pericentral area of the city with ongoing urban development. The targeted area for revitalization is a 700-meter strip of simple housing adjacent to the "Hipódromo Chile" racecourse.

A continuous public volume spanning three levels is established to accommodate commerce, services, public spaces, and green areas, acting as a mediator that integrates the racecourse into the city. This volume is complemented by a boulevard, enhancing its public character and culminating in a spacious cultural square linked to the city’s subway. Consequently, the building concludes at the square, incorporating a cultural center.

Above the park at the third level of the volume, office buildings and high-density housing towers are situated. In this manner, the project creates a neighborhood ecosystem that provides all the services, infrastructure, and connectivity necessary for a thriving community.”
